Paying for your exam
There is no separate payment step. The $15 exam fee is taken when you book your time slot on the schedule page, and that is the only place an exam is paid for.
A few things that catch people out
- Use the same email address for scheduling, payment and registration. Different addresses are the most common reason a session goes missing.
- The fee is non-refundable and is forwarded to the ARRL VEC. We do not keep it, so we cannot refund it once you have scheduled.
- The FCC application fee is separate, comes later, and is paid to the FCC directly — not to us. See what happens after you pass.
Asked to pay another way?
This happens very rarely. If it applies to you, someone from the team will have already been in touch. Contact us at vetesting@yahoo.com and we will send you instructions and a link for your payment at that point.
Do not send a payment nobody has asked you for, and do not use a link you were not given by the team directly.
