Before you book: use the same email address for scheduling, payment, and registration. The $15 exam fee is non-refundable and is forwarded to the ARRL VEC. Read the full requirements.

Candidates under 18 need different identification, and some sessions have different requirements. Tell us your date of birth and we will show you the times you can actually book.

This stays on your device. Your date of birth is never sent to us, never sent to Calendly, and never saved anywhere. It is used once, in your browser, to decide which times to show.

WARNING:
You MUST use the SAME EMAIL ADDRESS for scheduling, payment, and registering for the exam!
You pay the non-refundable $15 exam fee as part of booking your time slot on this page. There is no separate payment step and nothing to send us afterwards.
The fee will be forwarded to the ARRL VEC after you schedule. We cannot refund after scheduling since we do not retain the fee. READ ALL REQUIREMENTS BEFORE SCHEDULING!
Important notice for Gmail users
If your FCC Registration Number (FRN) is associated with a Gmail email address, we strongly recommend updating it to a non-Gmail email address before scheduling an exam.
We are currently seeing a high rate of FCC application fee notifications that are not being delivered to Gmail accounts. Many applicants never receive the payment notification email from the FCC, even after checking spam and junk folders.
The FCC allows only 10 days for payment of the application fee. If payment is not received within that period, the application will be dismissed by the FCC and your exam session will be canceled.
Once an exam has been scheduled and the application submitted, there is generally nothing our Volunteer Examiners can do to resolve a missed FCC payment notification. To avoid delays and cancellations, please ensure your FRN is registered with a non-Gmail email address before scheduling your exam.
Failure to thoroughly review both the procedures page and FAQ page on our website may lead to termination of your exam. Should we grant you access to the exam room and observe that you are unprepared or have not followed the specified procedures, you will be returned to the waiting room, and the next candidate will be considered. If unpreparedness persists on a subsequent attempt, you will be required to schedule a new exam.

Exam slots begin every 5 minutes. While the average person finishes the exam in about 7 minutes, we recommend allowing at least 15 minutes to complete your test after setup. These are not time limits, just information to help you plan. If you need additional time, email us in advance.
